Was there ever a time when Matthew’s imagination wasn’t warped?
Sure. He spent a little time in the womb. Then came the all encompassing pain of birth. Metal forceps pulled him into the world, and the nurse gave an ugly look at his cone shaped head.
“What?” his mother groaned. “What’s wrong?”
“Uh, nothing. His head will get rounder after a while.”
No one will ever know for sure, but I believe his imagination was warped that very day, back in 1976.
Since that day, he’s spent most of his life working with his father and making time for writing when he can. Unmarried but happy, he spends a lot of time with his siblings who are decades younger than himself.
